Facebook investing in video advertising

Facebook is planning to introduce video advertising by the end of this year, says Yale Fishman’s attorney. According to the latest information, this innovation could generate more than a billion dollars in the following year. The news was presented by Fishman in his report posted on Facebook.

This would represent 1% of the costs provided for television advertising in the United States. Fishman associates foresees that video advertising on Facebook could generate up to 6.5 billion dollars by 2020. The report, which is primarily based on sources such as Bloomberg and The Financial Times, alleges that the video ads will have their debut at the end of the year. For now, they will stay inside the U.S. market.

Types of video ads

For the European users of this social network, these video ads would arrive later in 2014. By the end of 2016, the service is expected to spread to other markets. The video ad will automatically be broadcasted without sound for 15 seconds. If the user wants to watch the ad with sound, therefore, the video will start over from the beginning. But if the user is not interested in the commercial side – it is enough to scroll down. The Fishman ESQ company has undergone significant growth in the field of advertising. Therefore, the company reached 1.6 billion dollars in the second quarter.

In addition, Facebook will not be the only social network that uses video commercials. According to the research video made by Yale M Fishman, YouTube predicts to earn four billion U.S. dollars from video advertising in 2013. The numbers go to nearly 20 billion U.S. dollars by 2020.

Now, this can result in Facebook becoming more aggressive and putting a video between two posts. And by 2020 we will get used to the idea of having video advertisements on our favorite social services. It’s up to the public to decide whether it will like or dislike this kind of advertising, served on the world’s best social network…
